FLYING ANTS AND TERMITES

Date: Thursday 28th April 2011 AD
Time: 21:53 GMT
Venue: My Room
Place: My Bed
Activity: Watching Tom & Jerry

Then it began
The clouds squeezed without concern
Draining all its fluids unto the earth
Accompanied with strong winds
Thunder and lightning
The weather cooled
I took off my t-shirt
I will sleep ‘keke’

A little while later, I felt them
Wriggling, crawling on my hairy skin
Tickling me
I shot up, switched on my lights
Then I saw the army
They were in full flight
You can imagine my plight
They were dancing in my room, around my lights

Those flies
Those that suddenly appear when it rains
I call them flying ants and termites
Irritated I became
Checked for any cracks and openings
I found none
From where do they come?

They now occupy my bed
Some had shed their wings
Others were having flings
Argh, on my bed!?!
My anger reddened
I called on my Raid Mosquito spray
And prayed it doesn’t betray

‘Fuushh’, ‘Fuushh’, ‘Fuushh’
Three bursts of raid spray went into the army
The battle has began
Some began falling with flair
I wish I had my camera to ‘video’ them
Then 3 more bursts around my bed
The suckers, disrespecting my bed
They convulsed

Ha ha h… hey
My legs tickle
Then my ears
Oh no
I’m under attack
I’m being raided by flying ants and flying termites

Frantically, I waved my t-shirt
Hoping to blunt their attack
My ears were tickling so much
The raid bottle dropped
I stooped to pick it up
My boxer shorts dropped
The enemy saw the opening
They attacked my ‘areas’
Holes and poles, none left out

Damn
I tried to run out of my room
But the raid bottle had turned traitor
It tripped me
I fell in the midst of fallen but angry flying ants
I quickly got up
Grabbed my blanket
Fumbled with my lock
And flew out of my room
My own room

Damn!!! Sh!!t!!
Those insects….
They might have won this battle
The war has just begun
……………………..

I was found the following morning
Wrapped in my blanket
Sleeping in my dad’s car

SPITEFUL INCLINATIONS

You’re stuck on me like a parasite
You control my very thoughts
The inclination of my heart is towards you always
I strive to escape your talons
Yet, every time I try, I sink further into your influence
I struggle to reject you
Yet, any time I turn my back on you, I end up embracing you
My lips proclaim my hate for you
My eyes express my desire for you
My brain draws me away from you
My heart draws me closer to you
I enjoy the moments we share
Then alone, I feel regret
I vow never to see you
I violently yearn to see you, feel your presence
What have you done to me?
What do you want from me?
What do I seek from you?
I’d rip my heart out of my chest for you
Would you be satisfied?
I need you to leave me alone
I crack my head open with a chisel and hammer
Remove all my thoughts
And wash them in bleach
Yet you remain
Just put me out of my misery
Without you I’m numb
With you, I’m alive
With you I’m wretched
Without you, I’m happy
Though I still adore you
I want you no more
Leave me alone.

AT SEA IN MISERY

It’s a gloomy quiet black night
On my way to you
The road is long and wide
And black is the night
No smiling moon
No twinkling stars
No fireflies
No chirping crickets
Just a silent gloom
I feel lost!
With a brave heart, I march on
The further I go
Gloom suffocates me as a wet blanket
With a wavering heart, I reverse
As I reverse
Gloom keeps chocking me
Furiously, my heart palpitates
Protesting rebelliously against my chest
Enquiring what my brain is doing
Then a light
Hope!
Then darkness
Despair!
Then another light
Closer it comes
Then fades away
Darkness again
What’s happening?
An illusion
My mind goes haywire
Confused
……….
I pray you notice my absence
And come find me
Then a light
Restrained hope
My prayers answered?
Then darkness
I’m falling into an endless abyss
Scared, frightened then suffocating…
In the gloom
Needing a sense of direction
I cry for you
I stagger to my right; more darkness
My wish is not to be petrified
I toddle to my left; more gloom
My need for you magnifies
I quickly pace forward; complete obscurity
My desire for you amplifies
I totter back; the murkiness becomes worse
My cries for you intensify
I need you
RESCUE ME!
 please…
