Before my dance with the devil
I was quite the rebel
Had habits which I never reveal
Did things which you’d repel
My parents found out and appealed
I rejected the appeal, and I reveled
I was introduced to the devil’s dance
After every dance
I’d be in a trance
I’d speak as a Chinese in France
I’d swim in the skies
Have intimacy with occupants on Venus
Get drunk with the inhabitants on Mars
And curse and piss on Uranus
Then I’d fly in the oceans
Eat lunch with sharks
Strangle eels till they produced sparks
And brutalize whales till I left scars
I quarreled with angels
Played cards with demons
Raced with Hermes
And wrestled Hercules
It’s all about what you feel
When you dance with the devil
Some would say its evil
Others say its like a vigil
I feel energized as a drunken beetle
But after some years
When he drains my eyes of their tears
And makes my thoughts dwell in fear
My soul he sears
He puts me on an addiction spree
My torment he mounts, I need to flee
Could it be too late, ’cos I’ve made my home on a tree
Unbearable is this agony, I want to bury me in the sea
