Sick

Pain
Anguish
It’s sickening
Bury me

You killing me
Messing me up
Breaking me down
Leave!, please, don’t stop

My head sinks in your poison
Your taunts
As pictures they materialize
Rotating in my head
Like slideshows

Leave me
I’d run
You’d catch up
Capture me
Deep, your fangs sink in to me
Suck my blood
Inhale my life-force, my breath

Take me away
Infuse me with your poison
And leave me in peace
To die in battle
In pieces

Battling your venomous virus
When I think I’ve won the battle
You prove I’ve lost my mind
Cyclic rotation
My life, a lost cause

Agony
I love it
Torment
I like it
Arousing torture
Bittersweet pain

Take me to Sheol
Alive

Alewa
Always on my mind is alewa
Be it in school reading
Kofi and Amina
Or in the sand playing
Pilolo or pampanaa

aLewa
Like a live ammunition
Waiting to be fired
Always restless
When alewa was in sight

alEwa
Exuding sweet essence
And rainbow beauty
Tempting me
Corrupting my innocence

aleWa
Waiting to capture my tongue
Coat it
And drug me
With its flavor cocktail

An inspiration
For my childhood fantasies
A motivation
For my childhood truancies

Beautiful Distortions

White foam on a blue canvass
Smudgy, fudgy shapes
One moment, an anvil
Then in another, a hammer
No, a muscular arm
Oh, a sword rather
Well, beautiful distortions
A forging is taking place….

A Tear Drop

Night falls, heavy dew
Dew drops, beautiful petals
A cool breeze, morn dawns
Beautiful petals, dew drops

Just a drop
My heart melts
My blows soften
I realize, how fragile you are

Just a drop
My thoughts change
My tongue recoils
I realize how hurt you are

Just a drop
My frown erases
A reluctant smile draws
As I see your innocence

Just a drop
You in my arms
I nod to your heart beat
My stupidity plays in my head

Dew scented air
Rose petals on my tongue
Its thorns…
…Prick my heart

Her Eyes

Those eyes, jaded and cold
In there, a green flame dwells
In those eyes, my heart is held captive
Against my wish, I eat her cancer
And quench my thirst with her tumor

Those eyes, wicked and twisted
From her, my breath I rent
She suffocates me with her twisted smiles
Crushing me with her weight of denial

I drown in her poison
I bloat in her venom
Dear agony
My being is feverish
Legs quiver, tremble
In her darkness forever I dwell

Default Invention

A designer, a creator, a scientist, an engineer
Those are my appellations
I design, I invent
All in my lab

Of all my inventions
There are two
Device 1, codenamed XY
Device 2, codenamed XX
And both have two antennas

XY has two antennas
Y1 and Y2
Y1 is transmission only
Y2, also transmission only

XX has two antennas too
X1 and X2
X1 transmits and receives
X2 transmits only

In my own likeness I made them
With my own knowledge I made them

By default
The devices work on their own
For maximum gain and efficiency
They must work together

But to work together
This algorithm they must follow

            XX sync XY
            Y1 transmit
            X1 receive

It’s simple, not complicated
No matter what anyone says
That’s the way I made them

Memories- An Old Flame

Memories of you brings nostalgic feelings
Though I’ve moved on
I still remember you with fondness

When I say you were my first
It’s not a mere statement
I’m not trying to patronize you
You were my first love
You taught me what excitement was all about

Thoughts of how I used to climb you
Mount you
Your wonderfully wide hips
Held you tight
How you wound me round and round
I ended up feeling queasy
Sometimes, dizzy
And your funny creaky sounds

Thoughts of your sister
You allow me to have her
Sitting on her
Up and down
She urges me higher and higher
My heart pacing faster and faster

(a smile)
One time with your sis
My excitement at its threshold
I screamed
Then I heard someone say
“Nam) papa d)l) n3”#

Damn, I miss you both
Especially you

Do you remember
When I sneaked uninvited
Into auntie Rashida’s house
Just to see you
To enjoy you
I fell off a few times
Yet I persisted
You were patient

Did I tell you she reported to my folks
Yet I returned the following day
An experienced man
But I was too eager
To prove my experience
And I hurt you
I’d never forget those strokes
The painful spanking auntie Rashida gave me
Maybe she was jealous (I can't tell)

Sorry I left without a goodbye
Goodbyes are sad
I didn’t want to see you cry

I now have a big house
A lovely wife
Three kids
I’ve told them all about you
Especially the kids
They can't wait to see you
It’s my hope you teach my kids
How to be real men
Just like you did me

Always remember
Though I wasn’t your first
You will always be my first love

# (I won’t dare to translate that Ga expression)
This poem is about a merry-go-round and a see-saw

"Rhymerick"

Baby come close, let me touch your leg
Milady, be the hole, and I’d be the peg
Crazy I’m not, I might give u a peck
Dukey is my name, what’s yours, I beg
Hazy? Not at all, it’s just your love, sweet Meg
Guilty as hell, yes, you I want to “preg”

Fly, I plead in my private jet
Why my lady, why do you reject
Try; show your love, you are my love project
(Oh) My, you giggled, I would respect
Lie on your back, your body I’d inspect
High, rise up and let me inject
Coy, nice smile, I promise you won’t regret

White Hot Flame

I turned on the lights
And she was there
She was angry
And disappointed
And slightly drunk
With a gun
Aimed at my chest
She looked dangerous
She still loves me
But she won’t let me continue
To torture her, to live
Fear masks my face
As her index finger
Applies firm pressure
To the trigger

She took my lessons seriously
Memories of the shooting range
I held her hips
Corrected her stance
Showed her how to cradle the gun
Showed her not to jerk the trigger
“How would you like your breasts caressed?”
Her dreamy eyes held mine
“Gentle, firm...”
I put a finger to her lips
“Don’t say too much”
“I don’t want to walk round with a tent in my pants”
She giggled
“That’s what you do to the trigger” I said
“You don’t jerk it”
“Just squeeze it, firm and gentle”
POW!!!
Bulls-eye
Almost
She giggled again
She had a good aim
A perfect eye

Those memories
Made more globules of sweat
Form and drip
From my sweaty face
The nozzle aimed at my chest
She squeezed the trigger

She forgot one tip though
The choice of gun
“Always prefer a revolver to an automatic...”
“Revolvers never let you down”
She had an automatic.
A .45 ACP
And it let her down
It got jammed
Like a frog
I leapt
And knocked the gun out of her grip
The pistol fell
And skidded away
Under the couch it went

She kicked out
Her left foot at my groin
She missed…
“OUCH!!”
I trained her too well
The kick, powerful
Caught me in my lower abdomen
I crumbled
Her Persian carpet
Kissing my cheeks
She jumped on me
She wouldn’t give up
I’m in shit

Ooops…
In mid-air
Her right breast
Escaped her blouse
And fell on me
She fell on me
She’s mighty heavy
She’s mighty strong

I felt her long manicured nails
Red and black
Slapping my face
“Lucy, I Swear I did nothing…”
I felt the open wound
It stung
As a sweat drop dripped in

“You lair, Son of a b*tch”
She was sobbing
“You promised”
“You pledged”
“You vowed”
Should I throw her off?
I tried
She had me pinned down
Both of her thighs
At my sides
Her knees
Restricted my arms
“That tramp”
She screamed
She was crying now
“Your mistress”
“You said you’ve broken up”
“Yet she calls, tormenting me”
“She told me you were there”
“You both ate”
“And you ate”
“And slept”
“I even heard you snore”
“And she taunted me”
“Said I can never ever have you”

I smiled
“Darling, she’s a lying tramp”
That girl is devilish
I wondered how I even got involved with her
“Please look in my left pocket”
“And take out my phone”
“Check the caller ID”
“Check the pictures I took today”

Her anger subsided
Her exposed breasts….
“Oh” she said
“You were at the parade”
“And you went over to my parents’ place”
“Why?” she asked

She looked at my face
I looked at hers
My eyes didn’t
They remained on her breast
That nipple…
She must have felt my hardening member
She shifted
She sighed
Our eyes made contact
I saw it
She saw it too…..

Sweet Nothingness

I so much yearn
And desire for the black pit.
The cessation of life
In black emptiness.

Silent gloom,
Please take over me!
Perished thoughts and,
Non-existent emotions.

Sweet nothingness,
My ultimate wish.
Resident sorrow
You are sacked.

Will cry no more.
Will hurt no more.
When I’m gone,
You’d have me no more!

SLEEPING WITHOUT A HEART

I try to sleep through this emptiness
But sleep comes to me not
I hear Alicia Keys playing far off
Sleeping with a broken heart
Our song
It’s like I’m on her bed
Contemplating
Thinking of you
I know you will never return
Yet I sill dream of you

They said it will help
It will bring me some closure
If I destroyed your memoirs
I did
Your pictures
Your negligee
Your Brazilian wigs
I set them ablaze

Closure it brought me not
Thoughts of you flared
I swim in your essence
Your presence engulfs me
I wish they’d bring you back

A way I try to find
To live without you
Those ways
I found none
As if multiplied by zero

Every morn
Thoughts of your touch
So tender and feathery, it tickles

Taking my bath brings misery
I smell your fragrance
Those sweet scented baths we took

Eating is agony
Your delicious fingers in my mouth
Your favorite spice
Diffusing, subliming, evaporating
Swinging my appetite
Like your mood swings

It hurts sitting in front of the TV
The fun we make of the news readers
Our favorite programs
Our fights over the remote control
Our secret activity on the couch whiles watching CSI

These break me down
I want to move on
I can't

It broke my heart
When you went with him
It crippled me
When he laid his filthy hands
His icy hands
On you

I never wanted you to go
He is so merciless, cruel
Death
Please release Lucy
